Melbourne based Breast, Endocrine & General Surgeon
Dr Jeremy Khoo is an Australian trained Specialist Breast, Endocrine and General Surgeon.
After completing his medical studies at Monash University with honours, Jeremy embarked on his Surgical Residency at Monash Health, Melbourne and obtained Fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Having obtained a broad experience in general surgery across various rural and metropolitan hospitals in Melbourne, Jeremy developed a keen interest in general, breast and endocrine surgery.
Jeremy went on to pursue a one year Breast and Endocrine Fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane and during this time, he developed and honed his skills in Breast Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction, Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery as well as Acute General Surgery and Trauma at one of Brisbane’s major quantenary referral hospitals.
During this time, he also embarked on a Master of Philosophy, researching cutting-edge imaging techniques in breast cancer with the Translational Research Institute (TRI), Brisbane. Jeremy’s passion for medical education also saw him appointed as a Senior Lecturer with the School of Medicine, University of Queensland.
Jeremy subsequently returned to Melbourne and joined the Monash Breast Unit, Monash Medical Centre as the inaugural Breast Surgical Oncology Fellow for another year to develop further expertise in breast cancer management. In this role, he further developed expertise in oncoplastic techniques for breast conserving cancer surgery, mammoplasty for functional breast reduction and also treatment of benign breast diseases. Jeremy also obtained the Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) with the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM).
